So here is the before image. The dirty, stained, pink (yep pink, who on earth decided to put pink carpeting in, sorry if you happen to have pink carpet) carpeting, all ready to get ripped out.

And Whalaah! our fabulous new flooring, it was jut 3 days of install time, and it's gorgeous.
We still have to do the baseboards, which we are going to try to do ourselves,
but really it is like a new house. The only one who has second thoughts is our cat, and that might be because she got past us when the icky sealer was put down and got it on her paws.
She'll come around.
New Topic, and while all this was going on, I was paid for my first article. It was printed on the front page of the little local paper. It's exciting to have a "by-line".
