Mitchell's First Riding Lesson

So we won a gift certificate at a stable near Mitchell's School. Peppercorn Ranch. He had a wonderful English riding lesson on Rosie and he asked if he could take more lessons. Yep, mama was proud when he was up at "half seat". And he had a lot of fun. Here are some pics. You'll see he did a lot of the work involved by himself.
*And for fun I added a couple other photos from a fun day in Santa Barbara and our new favorite swimming hold near his school.

 Learning about grooming.
 Yep, picking the hooves.

Mama Sees Prince at the Forum

Ok so, for those that have known me for a while, you will know that I am a Prince fan, but I have never seen him in concert, until last night. My fabulous husband sent me, I was joined by my good friend Tracy and we had an amazing time. First we had a drink and dinner at the Culver Hotel, an historic building in Culver City and met a pair of women one of which had been to the show last week, she gave us some tips (like stay for the 5 encores!!! and move down after each one)... Chaka Khan, Sheila E., Larry Graham joined Prince.
Here are some photos and videos. Keep in mind with the videos that when I decided I would rather dance than shoot video I cut the filming, so some are very short.
Again it was a fabulous show, and while we had AMAZING seats... nearly every seat had a great view. Prince rocked it. I actually got teary eyed when he first came out.. Thank you Prince for doing what you do, and having such a great time doing it... and bringing joy and happiness to us with your music and performances.

Yes, I am wearing purple, what other color would I wear?
 First song.... glorious suit.
 With Sheila E. on percussion.
While the other guys get older... he still looks the same but sounds dynamic and always relevant.

We moved down after some encores and got seats on the floor right near the stage. While closer I think the Loge seats have a better view.
On our way out.

The Videos: reminder that when the music gets pumping, and I gotta move my feet the film cuts out. I'm also aware of and respect the rights of artists everywhere to control distribution of their performances... so these are all snapshots, no full performances, or even much of any song. To see more you'll have to see the show which of course I highly recommend.
