Week Off From School

At the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. 

 Frozen Lemonade snack at the museum.

(Yep that's the Indiana Jones hat, had to wear it to see all the bones)

 A bit blurry, but loved looking at the inside of the hull of explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo's ship. 

 Yep, giant bugs are always a hit. 

The best "toy" ever. A block of clay that contains the bones of a T-Rex.

Mitchell turned his desk into his "paleontologist laboratory" and set to work.

 uncovering the bones of an ancient dinosaur. 

We really enjoyed the NHM and the REAL lab they have that is visible to the public. You can watch REAL paleontologists removing debris from REAL dinosaur bones, 

the ones we saw came from Arizona.

 

Saw a matinee showing of the Nutcracker. Mitchell's first live theatre, live ballet and live orchestra.

 Thanksgiving Feast at Summit School

No I did not make this fabulous pumpkin bread. Just sharing.

We are planning a hike to the hot springs on Thanksgiving then dinner at home. 

And a trip to the Santa Barbara Zoo on Friday. 

Whew.
